I feel that this woman has shown incredible spirit in the fact that she has
survived such tragedy. But I warn you, this site may be difficult for many
to read, which is the only reason that it wouldn't win. This woman has a
beautiful site, but the story she has told expresses immeasureable courage.
Not only what she has written, but that she has written it. I admire her
strength, she has told her story to help others deal with abuse, and those
who are dealing with it today. Another reason why I feel that she deserves
this award, is because of what the award stands for and what it's meant to
do. It is meant to express appreciation of another, and that they built
their site to help others, and also to give support to that person. But the
real reason for this award (in my opinion) is to make the site owner feel
good about what they are doing. After reading the first part of her story,
I believe that she needs this as much as we need to give it. As difficult
as it is to read her story, which is centered around child abuse, and sexual
abuse by family members, the site is there to help her, and other's like her
heal from their wounds. I know that it does. She also provides links for
child abuse victims, and has opened her life to others. Something I know
must have been one of the most difficult things she has ever done. I hope
you will give her site considerable thought.
